Core Nutrition (“Core Nutrition,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides virtual nutrition counseling and nutrition education through corenutritionflorida.com (the “Site”), operated by Cici McGuane, MS, CNS®, LDN, CPT. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
We collect information in a few different ways:
- Information you provide directly — your name, email address, and message when you use the contact form, join the email list, or otherwise reach out to us.
- Booking and client information — when you schedule or complete a session, scheduling and billing details are collected and stored by our third-party booking platform (Practice Better), not by this Site directly. Clinical nutrition information you share once care begins is handled under our client intake and consent documents, separate from this Site.
- Automatically collected information — standard analytics data such as pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected through Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
How we use information
- To respond to inquiries submitted through the contact form.
- To send nutrition tips, updates, and occasional recommendations to subscribers who join our email list, and to stop sending them if you unsubscribe.
- To understand how visitors use the Site, using aggregated, anonymized analytics.
- To meet legal, safety, and recordkeeping obligations.
Contact form and inquiry data
Messages submitted through the contact form are delivered to and stored by Core Nutrition for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. Please don’t include personal health information in the contact form — clinical details are gathered securely once care begins, through our client intake process.
To keep automated spam out of the contact and newsletter forms, this Site uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks in the background that a submission comes from a person. Its use of information is described in the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
Analytics & cookies
This Site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand general traffic patterns. GA4 may use cookies or similar technologies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using Google’s browser add-on, where available.
Affiliate & third-party links
Some links on this Site, including our Amazon storefront, are affiliate links. If you make a purchase through one of these links, Core Nutrition may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites we link to.
Telehealth & state law
Core Nutrition is a virtual, private-pay practice. Nutrition services are provided based on the laws and regulations of the state where the client is physically located at the time of the appointment, and are available where permitted by applicable state law. This Site and the information on it are for educational purposes only and are not a substitute for individualized medical or nutrition advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email we send.
- You may request that we delete contact-form information we hold about you by emailing us.
- You may decline optional cookies through your browser settings.
Children’s privacy
This Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent version once this page is approved and published.
