Eat well. Live your best.

Questions, answered.

A few things you may be wondering.

Choosing nutrition support is personal. Here are answers to some of the questions clients commonly have before getting started with Core Nutrition.

Getting Started

The best place to begin is with a complimentary Core Connection Call. This brief conversation gives us a chance to talk about what you’re looking for, answer initial questions, and determine whether Core Nutrition is the right fit for your needs.

In most cases, you can contact Core Nutrition directly without a physician referral. Certain services, testing, or health circumstances may have additional requirements depending on applicable laws and regulations.

Your 60-minute Foundations Consultation is where we take a comprehensive look at your health history, nutrition patterns, lifestyle, goals, challenges, preferences, movement, and other factors that may be influencing your health. From there, we begin developing a personalized strategy that is realistic for your life.

Some clients come in for a focused concern and need only periodic follow-up. Others benefit from more ongoing support. Core Progress Sessions allow us to review what is working, troubleshoot challenges, answer questions, and adjust your strategy as your needs evolve.

The Core Nutrition Approach

Nutrition support at Core Nutrition is not centered around handing you a rigid menu and asking you to follow it perfectly. Depending on your needs, we may use meal ideas, templates, recipes, portions, or structured recommendations—but the goal is to help you build skills and habits you can actually use in real life.

Yes. Recommendations are grounded in current nutrition science, clinical training, and established evidence rather than wellness trends, fear-based messaging, or social media hype. Just as importantly, that evidence is applied in the context of your individual needs.

It means looking beyond a single symptom, food, or number and considering the broader picture. Nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, routines, medical history, medications, environment, and behavior can all influence how we feel and function. When appropriate, we look at those factors together rather than treating nutrition in isolation.

Usually, no. Sustainable nutrition should work within your actual life. Unless there is a specific medical or clinical reason to limit a food, the goal is generally to improve the overall pattern of your diet—not create unnecessary restrictions.

Food comes first whenever appropriate, but supplements may be considered when they could meaningfully support an identified need. Recommendations are individualized rather than based on a standard supplement list, and purchasing supplements is never required to work with Core Nutrition.

Sometimes. Lab or functional testing may be considered when it could provide useful information for your nutrition strategy, but testing is not automatically required. Availability, ordering, and interpretation depend on the type of testing, applicable regulations, and your individual circumstances.

Areas of Support

Core Nutrition supports adults across a range of goals, including metabolic health and blood sugar, healthy weight and body composition, gut health, women’s nutrition and healthy aging, active lifestyle nutrition, prenatal wellness, autoimmune-related nutrition support, and nutrition support for individuals using GLP-1 medications.

Yes. Nutrition becomes especially important while using GLP-1 medications. Support may include strategies for meeting protein and nutrient needs, preserving lean mass, managing appetite changes or gastrointestinal symptoms, building sustainable eating habits, and supporting long-term health alongside your prescribing healthcare professional.

Not at all. Many clients come to Core Nutrition because they want more energy, better digestion, improved metabolic health, greater confidence around food, support during a life stage, or simply clearer guidance about how to eat well.

Yes. Because Cici is also a Certified Personal Trainer, movement and physical activity can be incorporated into the broader wellness conversation when appropriate. Core Nutrition is not a personal-training replacement, but nutrition and movement can be considered together when they support your goals.

Appointments, Payment & Logistics

Core Nutrition is designed to offer virtual nutrition care, making it easier to receive support from wherever you are. Nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy are provided only where permitted by applicable state law.

Core Nutrition is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. This allows care to remain focused on your individual goals rather than insurance restrictions or diagnosis-based visit limits.

Eligibility for HSA or FSA reimbursement depends on your individual plan and the type of service provided. Clients should confirm coverage directly with their plan administrator.

That depends on your goals and the level of support you need. Some clients benefit from occasional follow-up, while others prefer the structure and accountability of the three-month Core Nutrition Signature Plan.

The Signature Plan includes one 60-minute Core Foundations Consultation plus six 45-minute Core Progress Sessions over the course of three months. It is designed for clients who want more consistent guidance, accountability, troubleshooting, and the ability to adjust their strategy as life and needs change.

Clients work with Core Nutrition through the Practice Better platform, which provides a centralized place for appointments, forms, resources, and applicable client communication.
